Her first Easter basket. She got a glow worm which I hope she will enjoy in the future. My neice and nephew love theirs and I loved mine when I was little.

Aubrey's first doctors appointment

Aubrey had her first dr's appointment on Saturday 4/3. She weighed 6lbs 14oz which was up from 6lbs 12oz on 4/1, the doctor was very pleased. Also, her color was so good that they did not have to check a bilirubin level. Needless to say, we had a wonderful appointment. Aubrey is such a blessing, she sleeps great, eats great, and rarely cries. She does not like bath time yet, but she is getting better in that area. No first drs office pics yet, they are on my phone and I have to figure out how to get them on the computer.

The last time we are a family of 2.

Aubrey was born Tuesday, March 30 at 1022 am. Our day started at 0630 when Dr Banks came in, broke my water, and started Pitocin. I was 4cm/ 80% effaced/ -2 station. We discussed the epidural, because as many of you know I was scared to death to get one since I am allergic and sensitive to several medications. By 0700, I didn't care, got my epidural 10 mins later. The anesthesiologist had to boost me about 30 mins later because I had no relief on my right side. Once I got pain relief, my wonderful nurse checked my cervix. At 0800 I was 7/100/0. I knew those contractions were ridiculous. At 0900 I was having a lot of pressure, she checked me, 10/100/0. Yay. We hung out for a while because I knew I would be tired since I worked night shift Sunday night, no sleep Monday, or that night, so I labored down. At 0950 I started pushing. 32 mins later she was here. She had a nuchal cord (cord around her neck) which could have explained her little dips in her heart rate the day before. She came out pooping and hasn't stopped yet. She was 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long. It was such a wonderful day. Ben watched everything, which really surprised me, and he cut the cord, then he got a little sick. I felt awful for him, but he did great. I love him and our sweet baby girl so much.
