We had a good night last night, maybe a lot different then how everyone else rang in the new year, but it was just our style. We were in the bed, asleep. This morning we woke up about 630, Ben wasn't quite ready to get out of bed yet, so I got on the monitor to give him an hour to wake up. After monitoring, my nurse called and said I only had one contraction during that session. Great!!! I got my scheduled bolus at 8 so my level was low and only had one ctx just prior to my dose. Ben made my usual breakfast, grilled ham and cheese and a glass of milk. After I ate, I got a real treat. I sat on the back deck and Ben let the dogs come see me. This is the first time I have touched them since Saturday. It was so great. Ben had told me that Phoebe has not been eating well and acting depressed all week, so she enjoyed it as much as I did. The only bad thing, she didn't want anyone else getting near me. She laid in front of me with her head in my lap and just wanted to be pet the whole time. Max had me throw his ball (of course). Everytime he came to give me the ball, Phoebe would put her foot on my chest to let me know I was still suppose to be petting her. Now, poor Bruno, his head went in Phoebe's mouth everytime he came to see me. She would growl and bite him. We finally had to put her up so the boys could visit too. Once Phoebe was in the fence, Max sat in my lap and Bruno sat on him. It was very amusing. Ben had to put them back up too though bc Phoebe was trying to get out of the fence to get back to me. They are so crazy, but it was just what I needed.
After doggy time I got a bath. I don't mean just washed off. I mean I got to shave, first time in a while. I sat in the bath tub, I couldn't fill the tub due to my injection site, but I was able to sit in there and we have a hand held shower head in there, so I got to wash my hair. Taking a good bath always makes me feel good. Now, I am hanging with Ben on the couch watching Auburn football. We are playing well, thank goodness. Ben needs Auburn to win, it's a mental thing. I am sure some of you ladies can relate. His parents brought over new years lunch. Black eyed peas, cabbage, homemade mac-n-cheese, cornbread, and ham....yum. Ben just made me a plate, so I am going to chow down, just wanted to let everyone know that things are going well around here.
Thank you for your continued prayers. By the way, tomorrow makes 26 weeks!!!!
