We meet our princess tomorrow!!!
So I had a routine appointment today and had mentioned to Dr Banks some concerns I was having. He sent me for an US and a contraction stress test. Aubrey looked great on the ultrasound, but was a little concerning on the CST. He gave me the option of repeating the test tomorrow or going to L & D and inducing tomorrow. I think it is clear the decision I made. We are so excited, but I must admit Ben and I were both FREAKING out. Much calmer now though. The dr came in a little after 1800 and placed a balloon in my cervix to dilate me to at least 4cm. I went to the restroom around 2130 and the balloon came out. I hope I make this kind of progress tomorrow. Okay I will try my best to keep everyone updated tomorrow, but I apologize if I cannot, I may be a little busy being a mommy....yay.

Bit of a Bummer....
Today was my 37 week appointment and things did not go as I had hoped. The Friday before I was 36 weeks, I had gone to L and D and told that I was 2cm. Today, my doctor said I had not dilated.....ahhh. I just wanted to scream. This has happened to me before. When I was in the hospital before, I was told I was dilating, but I was actually still closed. My interal and external os of my cervix are not dilating together. Apparently, my external os was again the only thing that had dilated. Ben and I are very frustrated right now. We had hoped that I would be induced late next week, but if I am not dilating at all, I don't think that will happen. We are so ready for Aubrey to arrive and may lose our minds waiting on my body to get her here. So that was really all that happened. Hopefully better news will come next week at my appointment on Wednesday.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!

I am loving...
my new schedule at work. Okay so I have only done one shift, but wow, what a difference. I love being at home more. I am not sleeping much but hey, that just leaves more time to get ready for Miss Aubrey. Yesterday, I made my first dress. It is adorable. I had bought fabric months ago, but after getting frustrated with my first dress, I quit sewing. I found a free pillowcase dress pattern online and decided since I had fabric at the house that I loved with matching ribbon I should give it a go. It took about 2 1/2 hours but I feel so accomplished. Now I have all kinds of projects in mind. I cannot wait to get going again. I have to purchase some additional software in order to complete the other items, well that and fabric. Hopefully I can get really good and make some extra money in the future off my creations.
Another thing I am loving is Ben's love and adoration for our unborn baby girl. He just melts my heart. I am really surprised at how he is acting. Because of some issues with our bassinet, we had to put the pack-n-play in our room for her to sleep in. It fits best on Ben's side of the bed which has him so excited because he wants her right by his side all the time. I told him since I will be getting up with her during the night maybe we should temporarily change places. At first he was kinda okay with it, but last night he told me that he had thought about it, and our current sleeping arrangements are fine. I don't care either way, I just think it is so funny and cute how he is acting. This morning he asked me to PLEASE call him if I go into labor.....OKAY, will do. I didn't realize that needed to discuss that. I cannot wait to see the two of them together. Thank goodness I am planning on breastfeeding, because I think that is going to be the only way I can pry her away from him.
I guess I need to clean up the house some more, my bedroom carpet looks awful (I don't know why I am obsessed with my bedroom carpet. I know it is really not dirty, I mean I have vacuumed it more in the past couple of days than in the year we have been here). I have signed up for an extra shift at work today, hopefully they will not need me, but if they do that is just extra money (which we could definitely use). I hope everyone has a good day!!!

36 week update
Sorry, it has been a while. Working 5 days a week is really tough on this ole pregnant girl. Saturday marked 36 weeks...yay!!! Friday I was 2cm/80%/-2, I am hoping I will just go on and dilate a lot before I actually go into labor (wishful thinking). Ben keeps asking what I can do to make myself go into labor. He is so anxious to get her here. I am a little nervous about this week, Dr. Banks is out of town. Last time he went on vacation, I was in the hospital. At least this time, she is big enough to do well if delivered. I have been nesting like crazy trying to get this house ready for our precious princess. Ben likes to remind me that is what is going on, like on Sunday when I was vacuuming our bedroom floor for the 4th time. It is driving me crazy too though, he doesn't understand. I feel OCD about keeping the house clean and it still feels so dirty to me. Today marks the start of my new shift at work. I will be working 3 nights a week doing 12 hour shifts. Once I have Aubrey, it will allow me to be home during the day and Ben at night that way I do not have to depend on anyone for childcare. I am excited about it. It is going to be a huge adjustment though. Okay, so I guess that is all I really have to say right now. We are waiting on the wooden letters to come in, paint them and hang before I post nursery pictures though. Ben and I love the nursery, too bad Aubrey won't get to enjoy it for a while, she will be in our room. I hope everyone has a great week!!!
